- In addition to the reading assignments, have a look at the Tomb Raider site
and the other site about women
in archaeology ....
- Think about whether sex and gender matters in an archaeologist - are
there sex or gender related issues such as
personal qualities, access to education, and levels of
experienece that affect the work? .....
- Perhaps more importantly, does gender affect the approach to
archaeological research aims and/or analysis (ie. feminist archaeology)?
- Two of the most prominent figures in 'feminist archaeology' are
here at UC Berkeley: Margaret (Meg) Conkey and Ruth Tringham - find out
more aboout them and their work by searching for them on our own
